We are delighted to announce the birth of an exceptionally well planned litter of 6 gorgeous Labrador puppies Sired by FTCH Arcklebear Caribou (Ted) of Arcklebear Gundogs.
Ted is owned by Clare Baker, an established Gundog trainer.
Ted is a strong and athletic dark yellow Labrador, with an ideal temperament, nature and attitude; he is extremely loyal and biddable.
In September 2021 he qualified for the 2021 IGL Retriever Championship by winning the Barton on Humber 2 Day Open Field Trial. Ted ran well at the Championship in December, getting through to the third day. Ted gained his FTCh status in the 2022 season by wining the Cornwall FTS one day Open Stake.

Ted has been tested for 206 genetic DNA tests, conducted by WisomPanel UK on 19/02/2021 – there was no detection of any known genetic health predispositions in Ted’s DNA. This makes him one of the most rigorously health tested Labradors in the UK.

Our Dam Meg, was sired by Beggarbush Ledbury who was bred and trained by our local Gundog expert Ben Randall of Beggarbush, a panel judge and trainer, who has previously been awarded Gundog Trainer of the year.
Meg has an excellent temperament and is very much a sought after ‘Aga’ type Labrador. She is a very good worker, but is equally happy to stay at home, be a pampered companion, playing with the children or curling up in front of the fire.
Meg is highly biddable and a wonderful addition to our family. She has a kind and gentle personality and is good with children of all ages.
Meg has an excellent pedigree with 30 FTCH awarded over the last 5 generations. She has hip scores 3/4 and elbows 0/0.
The heritage of these puppies from both our dam and the sire, will result in a wonderful example of excellent working dogs and/or family companions.
This will be Meg’s 2nd and final litter and the purpose of this mating is to keep one of Meg’s offspring.
The puppies are home bred and will be used to all household noises and young children.
All of the puppies and our Dam will have been fully wormed with Panacur and first vaccinations will be given. If prospective new owners wish to have both vaccinations done at their own vet to avoid unnecessary further expense, I am happy to discuss this.
All puppies will be KC registered, microchipped and new owners will receive 5 weeks free insurance.
We will be arranging viewings from week 3. Puppies will be priced at £1150 and a deposit of £350 will be required to secure a puppy.
